Earl Sigurd - A Mersey Built Ship in Orkney

The EARL SIGURD was constructed by McTay Marine of Bromborough Wirral in 1989 for owners The Orkney Islands Council. She is operated by Orkney Ferries Ltd. She was photographed on August 11, 2008. Whilst on a morning circular sailing to Sanday and Eday Islands. She can carry up to a maximum of 22 cars or a mixture of cars and commercial vehicles up to a maximum of 100 tons.
